Sandbox.com pioneered fantasy sports games on the web. Early in the year 2000, they decided to add an arcade of interactive sports games to their site. Wanting to have anything but a run-of-the-mill arcade, Sandbox.com turned to Adveractive to create five unique treatments of extreme sports games for their site. The result was a series of immensely popular competitive games including Blades of Sand (Ice Hockey), Sandbox Xtreme Skiing (aerial freestyle skiing), Sandbox Half-Pipe Skateboarding, Sandbox Cliff Luger (street luge), and Sandbox Snowboard.
