Energy Zilla Killa Game | ||
|
The Williams Energy Group (a part of the Williams Companies) wanted a game that would tie in with a series of cartoon advertisements that they were running in Business Week and the Wall Street Journal. These cartoons featured the artwork of Fred Hilliard. Some of the cartoons contained a "typical" businessman named "Ed"; others contained wonderful creatures such as flying frogs or dinosaurs. Working with the client's advertising agency, Ackerman & McQueen, Adveractive developed the idea of "Ed" fighting dinosaurs to save a city . . . . and Zilla Killa was born. Ed stands heroically in the center of the city as Zillas attack all around. Armed with a Ghostbusters-style ray gun and a few exploding grenades, Ed must kill the marauders before they can take down the city's power grid and destroy the infrastructure. |
After he fights off a wave of Zillas, Ed relaxes while the Williams Energy repairmen (electric and natural gas) rush to repair the damage in various city sectors. |
